Dickens of a Christmas

The beloved Suntrust Dickens of a Christmas will return to Downtown Roanoke beginning Friday, December 7th at 5:30pm! The celebration kicks off with the lighting of the City of Roanoke Christmas Tree! The festivities will continue into the night until 10pm including live stage and street performances! Other activities taking place throughout the night include carriage rides, live carolers, a magician, a fire eater and sword swallower, photos with Santa, a living nativity scene, and more!

The 30th… Show more annual Suntrust Dickens of a Christmas continues on December 14th beginning at 6pm with everyone’s favorite Haley Toyota’s City of Roanoke Christmas Parade! The parade will start at 6:30pm and the streets of Downtown will be transformed into a magical space filled with costumed characters, horse drawn carriages, strolling carolers, marching bands, jugglers, & numerous community groups all highlighting holiday traditions. Don't miss this wonderful, "outside the ordinary" holiday parade!

Friday, December 21st marks this year’s final night of the beloved tradition of Suntrust Dickens of a Christmas! The festivities will begin at 6pm and continue until 10pm! The highlight of the night will certainly be the SPCA Pet Costume Contest; because the holidays aren’t just for humans! Dress up your pet(s) and come join the fun and laughter at this annual event! So, grab everyone you know and head Downtown to see some cute pups and celebrate the holidays the right way!
